An Innovative
Conference Experience
The 2020 "Beauty, Simplicity, Practicality: Developing Quality Music in Every Parish" online conference is an innovative new approach designed to cater to various learning styles and life situations. Unlike other conferences which were forced to go online because of the COVID-19 pandemic, this conference was envisioned specifically to meet the needs of online learners from its inception. It features a hybrid approach including lectures which can be viewed according to each individual's availability, live question-and-answer sessions and social hangouts, and guided learning opportunities.
For those desiring structure, a recommended schedule will be provided for your time zone. For those who need flexibility, you'll continue to have access to the lectures for one month following the conference and can watch them on your own schedule, whenever is convenient for you--even if it is late at night or early in the morning! Register for the entire conference or just one day's events.
This experience brings top-level lecturers in sacred music to the comfort and safety of your home with the flexibility to participate in the manner and according to the schedule that works best for you.
William Mahrt has taught at Case Western Reserve University and the Eastman School of Music, and currently teaches Medieval and Renaissance music at Stanford University. He is president of the Church Music Association of America and editor of its journal, Sacred Music, the oldest continuously-published music journal in the United States.
